When you sit with a group of friends or colleagues and begin to discuss someone or different people, digging up their pasts, exposing their weaknesses, uncovering their nakedness, pointing fingers, and bringing evidence and records (even in casual story-telling), of their unworthiness and discrediting them, then you are operating under a spirit of accusation, which will defile you, block your spiritual gateways from accessing God and what He has for you and also expose those you are discussing about to demonic attacks.
You are also setting yourselves up for accusations, because the same measure you use for others, will be used against you.
We are not ignorant of the enemy's schemes...we know his devices...and we must resist him.
Discernment is safety.
-------------------------------------
The spirit of accusation places a magnifying glass on the flaws, weaknesses, mistakes, sins, and nakedness of a person, with the intention of making those areas so big and so weighty that when people look at the accused, that's all they see.
Anything good in them is trashed. They are summarised into that one thing that is unseemly about them. Then people disregard them, reject them, and throw them down and out.
In this way, so many people who had seeds of greatness in them have been discarded into social trash cans, because while they were still works in progress, the spirit of accusation attacked them, and used people to reject them.
This scenario can play out anywhere.
You've seen it even play out in politics.
Someone will make it public that he or she wants to take up a certain office, and suddenly, their opponents and enemies will dig up every kind of dirt they can find on them, with the intention of using the accusations to discredit them by lowering their image among people.
The enemy knows if he can magnify your weaknesses in the eyes of people, even if you were meant to be their greatest blessing, they will be completely blinded and will throw you out like trash.
Oh, how many people have we pushed out of our lives, because we summarised them into one mistake they made, one flaw we saw in them, or one weakness we noticed they were struggling with?
You know, I strongly believe that the reason why God exhorts us in His Word to make room for the weaknesses of others is because sometimes our gold is hidden at the bottom of a sack full of dirt.
If we can just give people time, and keep loving and being patient with them, the Holy Spirit will continue to work in them, emptying them of all the dirt, then one day the gold will be revealed, and boy, oh boy, won't we be glad that we waited!
Deep sigh.
But sometimes, we give up on people too soon. Too. Soon.
There are so many people who were never given room or time to even figure themselves out, let alone shape up.
The spirit of accusation wouldn't let it happen, because the enemy knew what they were carrying.
But there shall arise people, and even now they arise, who shall look beneath the surface so that they can see properly.
People who, when they dig into people, it's not with the intention of exposing and uncovering the dirt, but unveiling and mining out the gold.
No matter how messed up someone is, they were created in the image of God.
That alone...means there's gold in them. Even when it's hidden under the rubble of mistakes, messes, and rotten sins.
🔸There's gold in there.
🔸There's a light in there.
🔸There's a purpose they were brought here to uniquely fulfill.
Give. Them. Time.
Keep. Praying. For. Them
