To stop attracting the wrong customers in sales, consider implementing these strategies:
Have you ever been on a call or chat with a client where you gave your all, answered all her questions only for her or him to tell you she or he cannot afford your products or services ?
I've been there. Not once, not twice.
Infact, on one of those calls with a prospect, she went on to tell me how she couldn't even afford my least offer at the time a Land of 1M even on an installment plan talk less of Products of higher values
because she didn't know where her next meal would come from.
I was deflated.
How did we get to this point of the sales process if she couldn't even afford food and even you may be begged by your prospect for food or money or customer even billing you. This is what you can call a bad market.
And for how long would I keep attracting people who could not afford to pay even my least price?
This could be the reason
Let me break down the full details of what I was doing wrong:
1). My offers served people who didn't know what they wanted or were not even aware of their problem.
2). My content spoke to people who were not ready to invest in a solution
3). My pricing structure attracted people who were to price conscious; some not willing to invest .
4). My entire marketing process was aimed at chasing and convincing people on why they should take up my offers.
5). And when these people got to the point of booking a call, I had no pre-qualification process in place to filter those I could actually work with.
These were the reasons my efforts were futile.
Here are the solutions that I came up with in case this could be you attracting the wrong customers or audience.
To stop attracting the wrong customers in sales, consider implementing these strategies:
*📌Define Your Ideal Customer:* Clearly outline the characteristics and demographics of your ideal customers. This will help you target your marketing efforts more effectively.
*📌Refine Your Marketing Message:* Tailor your marketing messages to resonate with your ideal customers. Highlight the benefits and solutions your product or service offers to their specific needs and pain points.
*📌Segment Your Audience:* Divide your audience into segments based on factors like location, age, interests, and buying behavior. This allows you to create targeted marketing campaigns for each segment.
*📌Improve Lead Qualification:*
Develop a robust lead qualification process to ensure that potential customers align with your ideal customer profile before they enter your sales funnel.
*📌Review Your Sales Funnel:*
Analyze your sales funnel to identify where the wrong customers are entering and how to filter them out earlier in the process.
*📌Educate and Train Sales Teams:*
Equip your sales teams with the knowledge and tools to identify and prioritize the right leads. Provide ongoing training to improve their customer profiling skills.
*📌Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System:* Use a CRM system to track customer interactions and gather data on customer behavior. This data can help you refine your customer targeting strategies.
*📌Feedback Loop:* Create a feedback loop between your sales and marketing teams. Regularly share insights about the types of customers that are converting and those that are not. Adjust your strategies accordingly.
*📌Set Clear Expectations:* Make sure your marketing materials set realistic expectations about your product or service. This can help deter customers who are not a good fit.
*📌Monitor and Adjust:* Continuously monitor the effectiveness of your strategies and be willing to adjust as needed. The customer landscape can change, so your approach should evolve with it.
By implementing these steps, you can focus your sales efforts on attracting and retaining the right customers for your business.
Thanks for your attention and please enjoy your day and Do Have a Productive Week.
